We made it through the conference! It was a great time, with powerful messages and encouraging stories. We’ll write more as soon as we write our July update.
Right now we’re on the road, traveling back to Orlando the long way, with quick family visits along the way. Please pray that our car makes it–it’s behaving a little strangely. We might see a mechanic tomorrow in Columbus.

We’ve been in Colorado since May 28, and we’re finishing up the sixth and final registration of the summer (we’ve registered groups who’ve come here for New Staff Training, 4 weeks of classes, 2 weeks of classes, 1 week of class, ministry-specific conferences, and the big US Staff conference).
Each group generally stays until the end of the US Staff conference, so the number of Campus Crusade staff out here has been growing. At the end of today, there will be about 4500 adults and 2000 children here.
The big conference opening is this evening. This begins a week of large meetings in Moby Gym and seminars throughout the Colorado State University campus.
We’d certainly appreciate your prayers, mainly:
- that those of us on the Staff Conference Team would successfully remove distractions so that our staff would be able to be refreshed and encouraged at the conference
- that the Staff Conference Team would also find time to attend sessions and benefit from the conference
Thanks so much for being a part of our team!

We hope your summer is going well. We’re all doing pretty well. I found a chiropractor and am showing some improvement, so thank you for your prayers. I also just finished taking Old Testament Survey and learned a lot!
Anja is turning into a big girl before our very eyes! That’s good, but has also given us new chances to parent her
Karl’s tech work keeps having some bumps in it, but over all he and the team have been able to meet the needs of our staff out here; praise God! Please keep praying that we can meet the challenges ahead—it’s going to get a lot busier in the next few weeks.

Thanks to Bill for the reminder…
Right now, approximately 15,000 college students from around the world are meeting in Busan, South Korea for Campus Crusade’s first ever Global Student Missions Conference (June 20-July 6).
Currently, ministries or groups with some form of Christian influence are at approximately 2,000 of the world’s top 8,000 campuses which are considered to be the most influential.
At CM2007, Campus Crusade staff members and student leaders will commit to reach the remaining 6,000 most influential campuses that do not have an active Christian ministry.
And specifically, within one year of the conference, the hope is that 365 new campus movements would be started–one for every day of the year.
Let’s pray that God changes lives and expands His Kingdom through this conference. More prayer requests and live video are available on the web site.
